Work Digital E commerce marketing article:
Online classified adboards on the related internet advertising specialties.

Classified Ad Boards:

Online classified ad boards are very similar to their offline counterparts or cousins with one distinct exception: they provide links and key words which search engines will record. It is not uncommon to see classified ad posts on high traffic boards like E-page and Craig's List in the search engines.

Beyond their high profile with the search engines, PEOPLE do read these boards and ads and, most important of all, do respond to what you are advertising. Some of them only respond as a way of Networking with you - in other words they will listen to what you are offering in return for you listening to what they are. A further distinction is that many boards have free postings in certain catagories, which is perfect for the person just starting out advertising on the internet. In addition, these boards can broadcast your ad across the globe, or appear only in your local area listings.

Like offline classified ad specialties, you place your ad in a very specific catagory, like Business Opportunities. You use a Subject Line, just as in your email ads; a link, just as in your email ads; and very short text. Unlike email ads, you do not have to worry about spam words. As you write your Classfied and message board ads, keep in mind words and phrases which the Search Engines will pick up on.

Always use your business opportunity's name. In this case Work Digital, or workdigital. Do not post 'blind' ads. Why? Simple: if you post an ad using the words "work at home business opportunity" for example, their are over 29 million sites on the internet listed with Google that use that phrase. Add the phrase "work digital work at home business opportunity" and you narrow the field down to only 1 million. Smush the two words together for "workdigital work at home business opportunity" you end up with 249. Who cares about all this - you will in time. Especially when someone, hearing the buzz on WorkDigital or workdigital, enters that phrase in a Google Search.

Your immediate goal with the classifieds is to reach a real person as soon as possible with your ad. Your long term goal is to start building your web presence in the search engines on the internet.

You will find some recommended places to start posting your classified ads on this page along with tutorials on how to use them. As in your email marketing, join the boards as required using one of your Contact Marketing Email accounts without an auto responder and ensure you white list that domain. In your ads, use your Business Contact email address. Your business email contact should have an autoresponder on it.

Note on Voy's list:
The link is to a page of around 60 odd voy message boards. These internet advertising specialties are somewhat different from traditional classified ad boards in which you tend to have much more space available for your ad. Like their distant cousins the FFA (or Free For All) ad boards, once you post your ad is usually placed close to the top of the board, then pushed down as others post free or as others purchase permanent ad spots. Unlike the FFA boards, in which your links can roll off sometimes within a few hours, free posts tend to stay on the boards for a long time - sometimes months even. Since there are so many of them, you may want to divide them up and post to a handful of them everyday until you cover all 60 boards. Then, repost or update ever so often to keep them current and active.

Note on Craig's list.
Recommend you post on domain links only. It does not like affiliate links and tends to discriminate against them. Blogs, forums, splash pages, main domain sites seem to do well.

The Craig's link posted is for the San Fransico Bay Area. Craig's is international and you can find them in most major cities or areas world wide.

This is a TUTORIAL on how to post your ad to Craig's list.
