Posting your link is a great way to boost your popularity with the Search Engines. Search Engines factor in to whom and what kind of sites you link to. There are two kinds of Link situations: TEMPORARY and PERMANENT.
FFA sites are internet advertising specialties that provide TEMPORARY link boards. The key to the successful use of FFA postings is to do it daily and to post to MANY boards. Besides actual Link Boards, some safe lists offer PERMANENT links as do most Master Safeadlists which are just as effective as actual 'link' venues.
When you sign up for the FFA boards as a member (rather than simply posting to them) you receive your own site in which you can usually post at least one link and one banner + link. This links your main business link to another site. Then, you take your FFA site link and drive traffic to it.
Owning your own Safelist, Safeadlist, Pixel or Word Link page or other venue also provides you opportunities to post your own permanent links. Blogs are great platforms for your links as well. Always recommended is creating marketing pages for yourself hosted through a service on your own domain.
Some boards have a 24 hour limit on posting one link per one unique email address. Some will also track your IP address so do not try to spam the boards! People who spam the boards or post inappropriate ads will be banned. Also, keep your email box clean to avoid bouncing mails.
It is recommended you use FFA adblasters and follow the rules in making your posts. The Auto FFA Adblaster, for example, has a database of boards that allow you to post several times a day. Some Networks like Monster Traffic will allow multiple postings. But other venues like Traffic Wave - which is found in the Blastomatic - only allow one post per 24 hours.
