Just as there are many ways to market your business offline, online there are thousands, if not millions of places to do so as well. What ever your business, whether a distributor, a program owner, or an affiliate with a program like Xtream Global, you want to use as many avenues as possible to expose your business to as many people as possible. Whether you want to reach the Global Market or concentrate in your local area, you will still want to use many different types of internet advertising specialties. Whether you have the limited computer basic skills or are a computer savvy internet marketer, you want to advertise on the internet. Online advertising venues tend to fall into two major catagories:

* Link or Search Engine Marketing          
This type of advertising involves using tools and perfoming activities which are highly specialized and designed to drive your websitesup in the Search Engines so people can find your when they do key word searches. Using traffic exchanges and Rank Enhancers, posting to FFA pages and permanent links and classified ad boards are all examples of specialized venues which create hits or send traffic to your sites dramatically increase your presence in the Engines.

Many detractors of some venues, FFA postings in particular, claim these venues do not work stating "no one ever sees your sites." They are misleading you on a half-truth, usually to sell you into some other program. People most likely will not see your ads on temporary link boards, but the Engines will! These venues are NOT email marketing tools. To get people to hopefully open and read your emails, use email marketing venues.

Some even state the Engines ignore or penalize you for using FFA postings. They do not. In our experience and studies since 2004, our team has experienced major results using the blasters found on this site. When we stop posting to FFA sites, we all have also experienced major DROPS in our overall rankings.

Again, detractors tend to be attempting to SELL you into something else - sell being the operative word. Our purpose in the Resource Center is not to become involved in these debates but to educate you as to what tools exist, how the benefit your advertising efforts and then how to best use them to your advantage.

Link Marketing is not an Email Marketing technique. All it is designed to do is send massive traffic to your website or provide mega linking. For reaching people's inboxes, you use resources designed specifically for that purpose.

* Email Marketing
We endorse the use of opt-in venues which allow you to send your Email ads to the members of those sites. Safelists, submitters, safeadlists, Yahoo Groups, adblasters, some downline builders are all examples of Email or email style marketing. We do not endorse, or even condone, using spam techniques.

Email marketing can be quite effective - if done properly. Success depends mostly on your Subject Line and then ad content. The goal is to get the reader to your Site for more information and the encouragement to buy, join, or sign up for whatever it is you are promoting.

Email Marketing is not an effective Search Engine or Link Marketing technique. For SE results, use the tools listed in the RC designed for that purpose.



Link Marketing

Link marketing involves marketing to the Search Engines. Studies show that up to 80% of all online sales or sign ups come from a result of a keyword search in the Search Engines.

There are two (2) major ways to Link market your sites:

1. Through 'link' posts to boards. This helps your 'popularity.' The Search Engines are constantly reviewing sites for their databases. The more sites YOUR url shows up on the more 'popular' the Engines perceive your site to be. FFA, Classified ad boards, permanent link boards, pixal pages, blog links, and  linking to other websites all are great ways to boost your popularity with the Engines.

2. By driving traffic to your sites. The more hits - or visitors to your site - also called  'traffic', the higher your ranking at the Engines. Traffic can be 'people' or the Search Engines themselves. Traffic Exchanges, Click for view sites, Alexa Rank Enhancer are among the best way to accomplish this. These venues rotate your site and create hits.


Email Marketing

This is where you send your ads to people in an email.  The main objective is to get the READER to take ACTION to go to your website and sign up for more information, the program itself or purchase product.

There are many rules and agencies which regulate this kind of marketing.  A major 'Rule' is that you can ONLY send your ad to people who AGREE to receive your ads. This is generally referred to as "OPT-IN".  Anytime you send an email ad to ANYONE, including your contacts, without their express permission to do so is considered SPAM.

If  you are accused of SPAM EVERYONE associated with that email comes under scrutiny - you, your ISP, your mail service,  website  servers, even the company or program you are promoting. 

Because of all this it is very important that you ONLY send your email ads out through approved, OPT-IN programs using the mailers provided with those venues. 
LINK MARKETING involves Search Engines

You want to get your site SEEN and RECORDED by ROBOTS

EMAIL MARKETING involves People

You want to get your email OPEN and READ by People

You then want People to take ACTION

There are lots of ways to market...

It takes many tools in your toolbox to create a viable marketing portfolio. It takes many parts to make a car and many things to make a car run. With the exception of Search Engine Marketing, the effectiveness of tools, resources, sites, etc is very subjective and depends on many factors. This is especially true in your Email Marketing as you are advertising to PEOPLE and you never know when a person is going to respond to your email or your ad.
